He woke up in a bathtub with his mind completely blank. He could only remember his name: Lanting.

His companions told him that they were all players chosen by God. Their task was to survive to the end of an escape game. Only those who survived would be eligible to enter the next game.

Lanting: Okay, got it. I'll do my best to stay alive.

Other players: Help! He sleepwalked in the middle of the night and got carried off by an octopus tentacle. Why did he come back alive the next day?

At a sanatorium, he encountered a male NPC holding a swaddled baby. He needed to talk to the man and learn the clues hidden in this world to clear the game.

Lanting: Who are you?

Man: I'm just a poor man abandoned by my wife. Our son's not even six months old, and his mother has disappeared.

Lanting: Your child... seems to have a few tentacles. Is he not human?

Man: You're seeing things. This is a new deep-sea Cthulhu baby outfit I bought him. Maybe I have bad taste. The poor child has to wear such strange clothes because he's stuck with me. Sigh~

Lanting: What's the child's mother's name? I can keep an eye out for her.

Man: His name is Lanting.

Lanting: ?

Blurb:

A frail, black-haired boy is sacrificed by his people to a dragon as its bride. His beauty is a gift from the Creator, his eyes a gentle emerald green, and his name as sweet as cream: Meiliya.

Meiliya is gentle and kind. He bandages the wounds of little demons, shining like a ray of light in this gray land. The demons all talk about his goodness and kindness.

Even the evil dragon Field gradually becomes captivated by this frail human, until he kneels in the great hall and begs Meiliya to become the true bride of the Constan Dragon clan.

"All right, Your Highness Field." He curved his jade-green eyes into a smile.

Field gave Meiliya the key to the castle cellar as a betrothal gift.

One day, Field suddenly saw Meiliya in the cellar. He wore an ancient crown and held a golden scepter. Turning to look at Field, he smiled:

"Does it look good on me?"

Before Field's eyes, Meiliya's black hair turned gold, and his beautiful emerald eyes faded to silver. The harmless human flower transformed into the Holy Son of the Church of Light.

"Rather than being called little Meiliya, I prefer to be addressed as His Highness Meilier."

Field realized that he had been deceived by a human, and had even fallen victim to the despicable Meilier's high-level sleep spell.

"Sleep, my love. See you in three hundred years~ And by the way, your technique really sucks (laugh)."

Field fell into an unwilling, furious slumber, swearing he would tear the human liar to pieces!

Six months later.

At the ceremony where Meilier, the Holy Son of the Church of Light, was crowned the new pope, the faithful knelt reverently at his feet.

Suddenly, fierce winds sprang up and the weather changed. A black dragon appeared in the sky, its dark red eyes fixed fiercely on Meilier as it spoke in a human voice: "Since when has the bride of an evil dragon fallen so low as to become a lackey of the God of Light? I'm taking you home. Happy, little Meiliya?"

Meilier: This bastard is ridiculously vengeful :)
