1.

When Jiang Suisui was twenty-four, the most absurd thing in her life happened.

On New Year's Eve, she got completely drunk and confessed to her longtime crush, her childhood friend.

When she woke up, she found herself lying in the bed of her childhood friend's aloof older brother, Gu Hanzhi.

They had fallen asleep in each other's arms, their clothes scattered across the floor. It was obvious what had happened.

Aaaaaah!

Jiang Suisui was losing her mind.

She hurriedly got dressed and fled before he woke up.

She didn't see the man's eyes suddenly open after she left, his expression inscrutable yet exceptionally clear.

The next time her childhood friend invited her over for dinner, Jiang Suisui was no longer her usual bright, energetic self. She cautiously asked, "Is your brother home?"

Her childhood friend glanced at her carelessly. "You know my brother hardly ever comes home."

But when she opened the door, she found the man she'd shared a bed with just days earlier sitting upright on the sofa, impeccably dressed. His expression beneath his gold-rimmed glasses was cool, like frost and snow.

Jiang Suisui's legs nearly gave out on the spot.

Her childhood friend turned around and looked at her with amusement. "You're all grown up. How come you're still so afraid of my brother?"

That night, after dinner, her childhood friend finished a round of gaming but couldn't find Jiang Suisui anywhere.

In the long-abandoned attic on the top floor, Gu Hanzhi cornered Jiang Suisui. Light from downstairs stretched across his cool yet inexplicably alluring features. He lowered his eyelids and advanced step by step, his laughter cold and mocking:

"What do you take me for? You slept with me and now you don't want to own up to it?"

Jiang Suisui was losing her mind all over again!

How was she supposed to own up to this?!
