My Online Love Turns Out to Be My Boss

The dating app Heartbeat Signal is officially launched.

Song Yangxi, a socially anxious person in real life with no dating experience, downloads the app.

It's not that real-life dates are unaffordable. Online dating is just better value.

He prefers digital boyfriends to real ones.

Song Yangxi vents to his online boyfriend every day.

"A thirty-year-old boss, a heartless capitalist."

"Overtime yesterday, overtime today, and more overtime tomorrow."

"The manager caught me slacking off again today."

Until one day, his online boyfriend, Wen Si, happens to realize that Song Yangxi works for his company.

He's not talking about him when he says "a thirty-year-old boss," is he?

And the overtime isn't something he asked for, right?

Wen Si: "Taking the occasional breather is good for employees' mental and physical health."

Song Yangxi: "Exactly! There's nothing wrong with me slacking off!"

Song Yangxi: "The manager dropped me off at the intersection and told me to get a cab home by myself, but you can't get a cab here!"

A little while later, a business car pulls up in front of him. "Get in."

Song Yangxi: "Mr. Wen."

Song Yangxi nervously takes the passenger seat and unloads all his frustrations to his online boyfriend.

"Mr. Wen looks so scary!"

The phone of the man in the driver's seat rings.

"He said he was just passing by! How could this possibly be passing by?"

It rings again.

Song Yangxi glances at him curiously, then keeps venting.

"I have something hilarious to tell you. When I message you, my boss's phone rings too. I'm a little scared."

It rings again.

Song Yangxi looks at him in terror.

"Could you possibly be him...?"

It rings yet again.

Song Yangxi swallows and says in a trembling voice, "Mr. Wen, you can drop me off here."

Wen Si: "Why did you stop calling me 'big brother'?"

Song Yangxi is devastated.

His online boyfriend is actually his direct boss. Is it too late to uninstall the app and delete his account?
