Aren't You a Beta?

After the college entrance exam, Xu Jiayu had a brief online romance.

The feelings were real, but everything else was a lie. The name, age, and secondary gender he gave were all fabricated.

At the end of summer vacation, Xu Jiayu broke up with the other person and unilaterally deleted all their contact information.

On the first day of school, Xu Jiayu saw a familiar face in his class.

He compared the person to the photo saved in his phone album several times, then confirmed that this was his online ex-boyfriend.

But wasn't the other guy an alpha?

The person who'd dated him online was a beta!

“I heard Yan Mo has a beloved he can't have. His unattainable white moonlight.”

Xu Jiayu quietly pricked up his ears.

“White moonlight? Who? Is he crazy? Who could Yan Mo possibly like that much?”

Xu Jiayu broke out in a cold sweat.

“I heard Yan Mo's been looking for him this whole time.”

Xu Jiayu swallowed with difficulty.

“If Yan Mo finds him, won't he go crazy?”

Xu Jiayu ran.

After that, Xu Jiayu went out of his way to avoid Yan Mo, always taking the long way around.

He was terrified that if Yan Mo discovered he was the ex-boyfriend, he'd take revenge on him in a frenzy.

Then came the day Yan Mo uncovered his secret identity. Xu Jiayu tried to salvage the situation. “Classmate, I think you've got the wrong person. I'm an omega.”

Yan Mo looked at him deeply, his gaze lingering on Xu Jiayu's glands. “Is that so?”

Xu Jiayu's legs went weak under the influence of the alpha's pheromones. His eyes were full of reproach. “Didn't you say you liked betas?”

Yan Mo smiled with satisfaction. “I was lying. Now we're even.”
