Nan Chu ran into Tu Shensi, the young friend she hadn't seen in a long time.

The last time they had been together was four years ago. Nan Chu had gone to a mountain resort with a friend to escape the summer heat. Tu Shensi had just finished her college entrance exams, a fresh-faced, timid young girl who called Nan Chu's friend "big sister," so she called Nan Chu "big sister" too.

She spent all day trailing after Nan Chu, watching her play games, keeping her company while she read, and tugging on her sleeve to go hiking in the mountains. Though she was timid and shy, her ears always turning red, she tried her best to keep up. When she tipped her head back to look at Nan Chu, her eyes held pure, clear stars. She was utterly adorable.

Nan Chu liked this younger girl, so she would often pinch her ear and remind her, "If you ever come to City A, remember to come see me."

"I'll take you out to eat, drink, and have fun. With me around, no one will dare bully you."

"If anything happens, don't bottle it up. Make sure you talk to an adult."

"I posted on my Moments. Remember to like it."

But later, Tu Shensi had to leave the resort early because of something, and never contacted Nan Chu again.

Now, at a smoky barbecue stall in City A, Nan Chu listened to other people talk about how Tu Shensi had grown up. The girl herself sat across from Nan Chu, stiff as a startled rabbit, trembling with fear and utterly flustered.

She kept her head down and refused to say a word to Nan Chu or meet her eyes.

A strange blush spread from her slender neck, creeping upward until it colored her whole face. Her normally pale ears turned a deep crimson.

Nan Chu's heart gave a light flutter. She wanted so badly to grab the rabbit by the ears and ask:

"Why didn't you come find me?"

"Why are you avoiding me?"

"What on earth did you take away from everything I told you?"

Tu Shensi had a strange reaction whenever she saw Nan Chu.

It was beyond her control. Every time, she could only let herself gradually turn bright red all over, growing so hot it felt as if she might burst into flames.

At New Year, she received a gift from Nan Chu: a specially made bottle of perfume that gradually released an enchanting scent as her body temperature rose.

After that, Tu Shensi developed yet another strange reaction whenever she saw Nan Chu. They were immersed in the scent of flowers, as if they had entered a springtime in full bloom.

Please note:

1. Told from the pursuer's perspective. The pursuer is older, but she spoils the one she loves, taking the initiative to dote on her, and dotes on her a lot. Even when she's sad, she keeps spoiling her. She loves her so much.

2. One-on-one romance, happy ending, and not too long. The two of them just date and date some more; very little page time is devoted to other plotlines.

3. The author considers this a pure fluff story, full of lovey-dovey moments, with hardly any angst. (If you disagree, go scold her in the comments and make her lie on the floor crying quietly.)
