The Tragic Novel's Heroine Chooses to Ascend the Throne [Kingdom Building]

Mu Zhiyi died on the day of the new emperor's coronation and wedding ceremony.

She was the legitimate daughter of the Zhenyuan General's household. Her father commanded an army of three hundred thousand, her elder brother was a young god of war, her younger brother had come first in all three imperial examinations, and her maternal grandfather was the richest man in Jiangnan. Even princesses had to give her a wide berth.

Unfortunately, Mu Zhiyi was a hopeless romantic. She fell in love at first sight with the unfavored Seventh Prince, turned down the position of Crown Princess, devised strategies for him, and fought in wars to help him claim the throne.

Yet a month after the new emperor ascended the throne, the entire Zhenyuan General's household was executed, their nine degrees of kinship exterminated. Not one of the 528 people survived. Her father, brothers, and sisters did not die on the battlefield, but under the new emperor's suspicion.

Before the Mu family's blood had even dried, the new emperor made a country girl who had once saved him as a child his empress, and doted on her endlessly.

Mu Zhiyi never got to see him again before she died.

After her death, Mu Zhiyi awakened to the truth: she had been nothing more than the ill-fated heroine of a melodrama where "he regrets everything only after she dies." When she awoke reborn, she was at the turning point in her life when she had resisted a forced marriage.

In her previous life, she had used her silver tongue to persuade her father to invest in the Seventh Prince. That was how the male lead eventually ascended the throne, and how her family ended up executed to the last.

In this life...

"If I could help that good-for-nothing Seventh Prince onto the throne, why can't I, Mu Zhiyi, sit on it myself?!"

"Father, since you're afraid of being cursed as a traitor, let your daughter bear the blame! I'll take on the hardships of being emperor!"
