Poaching from the Enemy Team, Only to Target Their Boss

When Yan Xu played Sword and Arrow, she chose to go undercover. One wrong move while developing an informant, and she ended up digging into the boss, Yan Zhuo.

What was the point of playing now?

"There's nothing we can do. We should just wait to die," her communications officer said.

In despair, Yan Xu put down her controller, ready to reload and start over.

The boss, who wasn't supposed to appear until the final volume, discovered her identity as an undercover agent in the very first volume. The main plot had suddenly been fast-forwarded to the end, while the player was still at Level 5 with only one clue in hand. There was no way to keep playing.

A few hours after logging off, Yan Xu was ready to pack her things and find a grave to lie in, waiting for the game screen to turn black and white.

[Full game cleared. Congratulations, Player Yan Xu!] A System message popped up.

Huh?

This was a spy game, not a dating sim!

Yan Xu: Sorry to bother you. I was wrong. It wasn't you, Yan Zhuo, who failed to see through me.
