Welcome to the Museum of Rules

Bai Shixing finds an easy job. He sits by the entrance and sleeps every day, and goes 360 days a year without seeing the boss.

But the deeper he gets into the job, the more he discovers that the museum holds one strange object after another, each connected to a different world governed by rules.

The strange objects are only temporarily sealed away, waiting to awaken again one day.

A damaged doll, an abandoned eyeball, a cursed feather...

Countless living beings are devoured, and the strange objects grow more active. Just when everyone is at a loss, Bai Shixing makes his spectacular entrance.

When monsters swarm him, hoping to devour him, they discover they can't hurt him. All they can do is scare people with their terrifying faces.

Bai Shixing: I may be afraid of ghosts, but not one ghost has harmed me.

Because of his special talent, Bai Shixing is forced to become an investigator and shoulder the task of saving the world.

The other employees: We couldn't do it even if we wanted to. You're the only one who can.

Meanwhile, the mysterious boss starts showing up all the time, hanging around him and even lending a hand at work, claiming he's just teaching his apprentice.

In the end, Bai Shixing unexpectedly awakens his memories. With banners reading "Model Citizen," "Strongest Investigator," and "Hand of Mercy" draped over his back, he plants a foot on the boss's shoulder.

Bai Shixing: If I say I'm the strongest strange object, how will you deal with that?

Boss: Isn't that perfect? We can team up as a married couple and take down the whole planet!
