On a sunny afternoon, a nautiloid with countless flailing tentacles appeared in the skies above Baldur's Gate.
Its tentacles swept through the city's streets, and everyone they struck was teleported inside the "Nautiloid," never to be seen again.
Tafia, who was singing and dancing in the street, was one of its victims.
When she woke up again, she saw an octopus-headed creature pry open her eye and push a disgusting little worm into it.
But that's nothing a bard can't handle!
As long as she's alive, anything can become material for a song, Tafia thought optimistically as she crawled out of a strange machine.
Besides, things aren't all that bad right now... Look! There's another survivor over there! They must be her fated companion!
Only this companion seemed to have hit his head. He was clutching it and looked to be in agony.
No matter! Leave everything to the bard! A bard's music can heal anything!
After escaping from the mind flayer pod, the Dark Urge discovered that he'd lost all memories of his past.
Only a strange, sticky voice seemed to whisper in his ear, goading him toward murder...
He wanted to roar, to drive that voice from his mind. Just as he was about to shout, another voice interrupted him.
A half-elf dressed in a wildly colorful outfit suddenly leaped in front of him. She played a bizarre, comical tune on her flute, hopping around him like a rabbit...
The Dark Urge, whose mind had suddenly gone quiet: ...Where did this lunatic come from?
[Read Before Starting]
1. A transmigrated, sunny, chatty bard heroine, Tav x an amnesiac, Bhaalspawn sorcerer, Dark Urge hero. BG romance.
Because of my personal preferences, the Dark Urge is a half-elf Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer in this story.
2. This is purely self-indulgent fanfiction. The main plot follows the game's story, so the whole story contains spoilers for the game, though it focuses more on everyday life.
Tafia is a blank-slate female Tav. Tav and the Dark Urge didn't have a hostile relationship before the story begins. This is simply my way of dealing with the frustration that Tav and the Dark Urge can't coexist.
3. A good-aligned playthrough. All the other origin characters are friends with each other. A strange, sunny girl with an even stranger train of thought falls into a group of real oddballs and struggles to survive (?)
4. Since this is a good-aligned playthrough, Minthara may not appear, or her original storyline may be changed, with some out-of-character moments.
Likewise, to get a happy ending and keep the peace, the Dark Urge will probably be out of character.
5. I don't know a great deal about DND as a whole. I'll try to study up before I start, but the story's setting will mainly follow the game. If you spot any bugs, please be gentle.
6. No idea when I'll start. Updates whenever I can, not for profit. The plan is to give you a bite whenever there's a chance.
