Pretty Darling

Everyone in City A knew the Huo family had a precious darling. Orphaned young, he had been taken in by Huo Nan and raised with endless pampering, always given whatever he wanted.

He was far too beautiful and far too spoiled.

He needed someone with him during thunderstorms, someone to soothe him when he was sick, someone to play with when he was in a bad mood, and someone to tease when he was feeling good.

Even when trying on new clothes, he expected a different compliment every time.

Huo Nan knew every little thing about him by heart, and had long since gotten used to it all.

Everyone said Huo Nan would spoil him rotten sooner or later, or that he would eventually grow tired of his darling and abandon him.

But no one knew that Huo Nan had long since gotten used to this life.

That was his darling, the one he couldn't live without.

Until one day, his darling told him, "Uncle Huo, I think... I've fallen for someone."

At the time, Huo Nan's expression was as calm as ever. No one could tell that he was clutching his palm so tightly it bled.

Huo Nan simply told him gently, as always, "I understand."

Just like every time before.

Whatever he wanted, Huo Nan would give him.

1. Huo Nan is the destined endgame, an older man who raises the protagonist

2. It might count as bittersweet, meaning the love interest's journey will be painfully intense

3. There may be all sorts of strange kinks. No content warnings, so if we happen to be on the same wavelength, that's wonderful!

4. Written late at night, and I haven't figured things out yet, not even the title. I'll add more later
