I Starved to Death in My Past Life!

Jiang Song, an apocalypse-era ability user, transmigrates into the body of a gaunt, sickly village girl.

Her neighbor, Gu Qingshu, is fair-skinned, delicate, and adorable.

Jiang Song: Wow, I'm the contrast character!

After the rain, the village children planned to go up the mountain to pick mushrooms. Jiang Song and Gu Qingshu were assigned to the same group.

Looking at the delicate girl before her, Jiang Song punched a lively wild rabbit dead, then lit a fire and roasted it.

Gu Qingshu: Song Song, rabbits are so cute...

Jiang Song: Shut up. Here, have a rabbit leg.

Gu Qingshu: Delicious!

On the Qiqiao Festival, all the village girls were busy embroidering handkerchiefs. Gu Qingshu was at home learning to read and write.

Next door, Jiang Song was sharpening her knives, ready to head into the mountains to hunt and improve their living conditions.

Gu Qingshu: Song Song, that's so dangerous...

Jiang Song: Help me keep it from the adults and I'll give you a pig leg. Otherwise, I won't play with you anymore.

Gu Qingshu: Then be careful!

Until one day...

Jiang Song realized that Gu Qingshu had grown taller than her, and her voice had changed too.

Jiang Song: Gu Qingshu, something's not right with you!

Gu Qingshu: Song Song, all you ever think about is food.

Jiang Song: ...I starved to death in my previous life.
