[This story was completed on October 22. Don't buy it if you've already read it.]
The heroine is an INTP with an avoidant attachment style. The hero is an atypical ENFP, a happy puppy.
Includes prose poems and modern poetry written by the heroine.
A city girl devoted to literature, a creative writing student driven crazy by her thesis and finally free to let her imagination roam in nature.
A prairie boy who misses love late at night, an on-again, off-again ex-boyfriend who runs a guesthouse.
Nature, grasslands, hiking, literature, life far from the city, and a returning overseas student starting a business back home.
Cui Yan is exhausted. She still has no inspiration for her graduation creative writing thesis.
After watching the TV series My Altay, she decides to clear her head on the grasslands.
The guesthouse and scenery on the Mengket Grasslands are both breathtaking.
Even more breathtaking, and shocking, is that the guesthouse owner is her ex-boyfriend, Jiang Yuan.
Cui Yan used to care above all about a man's looks, and before she knew it, she'd left her heart with him.
She never expected that after they broke up, one more meeting would be enough for her to leave her heart with him all over again.
Years later, when they look back on it, she asks Jiang Yuan, "Boss Jiang, remember those drinks back then? Why did the ones I didn't finish always disappear so quickly?"
Jiang Yuan wipes down the table and glances at her, his tone even. "I drank them. I figured if you weren't going to finish them, I might as well."
Cui Yan gets annoyed. "You're so petty. I only dumped you back then. Did you really have to hold a grudge and not even save me my drinks?"
"No." Jiang Yuan stops wiping and looks at her. "I just wanted to know if the drinks you'd had were sweet. Turns out they really were."
Notes:
1. After watching My Altay, I thought Xinjiang was so beautiful, and this story was born. It is set on the Mengket Grasslands in Xinjiang, a real location. The guesthouses in the story are fictional, based on the appearance of existing guesthouses on the grasslands. The protagonists' story is also fictional and has no real-life inspiration. But I've already thought of two people I'd like to cast in my imagination. I really like them. (The real-life inspiration and my imagined casting are different things. Imagined casting is perfectly normal when studying screenwriting in Korea, so let me put up a bit of armor here.)
2. The hiking element came from an ad featuring Jiang Qiming, filmed in Colombia. It was so good that I thought hiking could fit into a novel, too. Later, I'll write a few pure hiking stories with Jiang Qiming as my imagined casting.
3. The heroine's creative writing program is at a British school, but its courses and graduation requirements are not entirely based on those of creative writing programs at British universities.
4. I've been obsessed with rekindled romances lately and have already come up with several stories about getting back together after a breakup. Hahahaha...
Up next: Aqi at the Convenience Store
A game designer and a game concept artist, free
Theme: Hiking is fun
Baby girl: feel natural 🙏 Male protagonist: Does she love me 😭
I really love this reunion [please please], especially since the two of us are still in love after separation!!
Good looking!!! I really like this kind of description of Xinjiang, it feels very atmospheric!
It feels a bit strange, the clues are not very clear
Can't you tell clearly that Jiang Qiyuan and Jiang Qiyan are twins? The names are too similar 😭
