The Divine Strings: A Travelogue

During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, there was a secluded little village among the mountains between Chu and Yue. A wandering scholar passed through and stayed, beginning to record the strange phenomena occurring in the village. The village's eerie sights are told in six stories.

A disordered sunset, a dead horse galloping through the clouds, a woman buried alive as a sacrifice, a crying wildcat and a dead fox, a giant snake in a mural, a wooden spirit's jade-green flames...

These are not merely ghost stories, but reflections of history's cruelty and life's desolation.
