Everyday Life with Akutsu Jin [Prince of Tennis]

Sakurai Hana always had a lot on her mind, but she never said any of it aloud.

She thought: She was all grown up now. She couldn't still be the little kid who cried, threw tantrums, and blurted out whatever she was feeling.

So when she moved in with her father's ex-girlfriend to pursue her studies, Sakurai Hana decided to become the most polite tenant in the world.

That was until she met her father's ex-girlfriend's son--

It turned out being a polite, friendly tenant who never caused the landlord any trouble took effort, too.

April showers came without warning, leaving the two of them stranded together on the train platform. Akutsu held his school uniform jacket and noticed the girl beside him shifting her gaze all over the place. The weather was hot and stuffy, making him irritable. She had gone from keeping her distance to gradually warming up to him, and lately she'd been talking to him more and more. She always wore that mild, composed expression, keeping every feature so strictly under control that she seemed like a dead person without a temper. It was deeply unsettling.

He had no idea what she was looking at, but her gaze was irritating, prickling at his skin, so he snapped, "What's with that gross look on your face?"

The girl hesitated. "It's so hot."

Only later did Akutsu find out that it really had been hot that day. He was wearing a sleeveless compression shirt underneath, and with the rain drowning out all other sounds, she'd been looking at the muscles in his upper arms and chest, and the abs just barely visible beneath his shirt...

And trying to make out his six-pack.

Content warnings:

1. Tsundere, violent delinquent boy x gentle, secretly flirtatious young lady. Age gap: she's older. Former title: [Prince of Tennis] Why Is He So Unfriendly?

2. The story mostly takes place at Yamabuki. It's a slice-of-life romantic comedy, and other schools barely appear.

3. The characters reflect my own interpretation, so some out-of-character moments are inevitable. The plot draws inspiration from the official otome game and anime.
