Little Sunflower Beneath the Tree

[Quick-Witted, Sharp-Tongued, Cold Top Student x Adorably Clumsy, Quick-to-Apologize, Sweet Bottom-Ranked Student]

At a class reunion, the KTV was all flashing lights, music, and noise. In the middle of the commotion, someone asked Zhou Heng what his ideal type was.

The boy glanced at Sheng Kui, who was about to climb onto a table with a microphone in hand, then discreetly looked away. "Someone quiet."

Everyone around them burst into teasing. The top student really did have low standards.

There were just over a hundred days left until the college entrance exam.

In an empty classroom, Sheng Kui was being forced to attend a makeup lesson.

She hung her head, staring at the astronomy calculations on her draft paper, which he had explained for the n+1th time.

"Got it?" the boy asked in a calm, low voice.

Sheng Kui gave a little "Ah," then tried to wheedle her way out of it. "I think..."

Zhou Heng put down his pen, expressionless. "Then explain it to me."

Sheng Kui's little face crumpled. "..."

One day, later on.

Sheng Kui rested her chin in her hand and swung her legs. "Why aren't you called Zhou Vertical, Zhou Left-Falling, or Zhou Right-Falling? Why are you called Zhou Horizontal?"

Zhou Heng corrected her. "It's 'a gentleman is like fine jade'... Heng."

"Actually, Zhou Tree would work too..." Sheng Kui, who hadn't listened at all, suddenly lit up. "Then I'll be the little sunflower beneath your tree!"

Zhou Heng: "..."
