Mr. Zhongli Is Always Tired

This is the second installment of [Genshin Impact] Rex Lapis Has a Slime. Announcement: Updates begin this Friday night, 11/17. A thousand years into Teyvat’s future, the clouds of the past have drifted away, and the seven nations of the human world are thriving. The twins, who have wandered the sea of stars, return to Teyvat once again to visit their old friends. Upon arriving in Liyue, they discover that plans for elemental technology, once only theoretical, have now come to fruition. Wind-rail trains that fly across the sky, technology for Domains and spatial manipulation, new Akasha Terminals, and more are no longer the exclusive domain of the adepti and Vision holders. After faking his death for the second time, Rex Lapis is now a guest professor at Liyue University, teaching because he enjoys it. Wei Sheng’s work is unclear, but he spends so much time surfing on his Terminal that he seems like an internet addict. Azhdaha works as an ordinary sculptor. Guoba still enjoys the daily bustle at Wanmin Restaurant. The five Yakshas live at Wangshu Inn and occasionally help raise the newest little ones in their clan. The adepti are all pursuing their own interests... So the twins try to coax everyone into going out to play, taking part in role-playing games in an amusement-park world in the sea of stars, somewhere between fantasy and reality. Yet amid the relaxation and fun, they once again encounter the figures of friends who have passed away... Instance One: The Duke Raises a Dragon Egg, While the Princess, Who Is Fated to Be Kidnapped by a Dragon, Is on Her Way to Steal It Watch the little dragon and the princess train for a real battle against a witch: “Awooo! The dragon is picking on me!” Zhongli: “...” Instance Two: They say the sea is home to merfolk, nature’s darlings. But, unfortunately, has the dragon become a seafood dish too, despite hating seafood as a rule? The youngest mermaid prince looks at his sparkling fish tail and its little cloud-shaped tip, then squeezes his eyes shut with difficulty. The gentleman finds the whole thing exhausting. Instance Three: The whole country is shocked! In broad daylight, the beautiful queen puts a bright green hat on the king right before everyone’s eyes. Is this the collapse of human nature, or the distortion of morality? Wei Sheng, laughing so hard he can barely breathe, holds up a little Emergency Food and loudly denounces the unfaithful man: “Look! This is the daughter you abandoned years ago!” A certain Emergency Food: “???” The gentleman is even more exhausted. Reader’s guide: 1. No CP. The timeline is a thousand years after the events of the first story, with many original details. 2. The journey will be interspersed with scenes from Teyvat’s distant future. 3. There are many interpretations of the old man’s identity. In this story, he chose to be born in the form of a Geo Dragon. 4. Azhdaha is a friend, not a familiar. 5. The pacing is fairly slow, to make up for past regrets. Completed works.
