Snuggling Up to an Orange Cat in Yokohama

Akizawa transmigrates, and after arriving in another world, a certain emotionless black-clad doctor finds him and takes him back to his run-down clinic. His body is damaged, so he won't wake up for a while, but his mind is clear. He sends out the red panda avatar he cultivated to scout out this unfamiliar world. Then the little red panda never comes back. Akizawa, still lying in the run-down clinic: What's going on? Did it run away from home? Even though his red panda avatar has run off, Akizawa, still lying in the clinic, realizes that a certain black-clad doctor surnamed Mori is no ordinary man. But his body is injured and his eyes are damaged. They can heal, but it will take a while, so he stays in the run-down clinic for the time being. He covers his eyes with white silk, but since he has no money, he eventually switches to gauze. A few days later, the black-clad doctor surnamed Mori pulls another boy out of the river. Akizawa figures the lousy doctor has some unspeakable plans for the boy. Some time later, Akizawa leaves a gemstone that can cover the cost of taking him in, along with a note that says, "The world is so big. I want to see it." Then he turns on his heel and leaves. Later, Akizawa finally lures the little red panda back with bait, only to see it clinging to the side of an orange-haired boy and making soft, coquettish sounds. "Squeak~" The orange-haired boy patiently coaxes it. "There, there!" Akizawa, who has finally tracked down his rebellious avatar that ran away from home, falls silent. Later, after getting to know Chuuya better, Akizawa gives him a carefully chosen gift: a copy of The Red Panda Care Guide. How to Read: 1. This is separate from real life. I just like this character in the anime. I've only seen the anime, and I've added my own details to the setting. 2. The red panda avatar is actually the protagonist himself. 3. Most of the story will focus on the protagonist and Chuuya. 4. Sweet and slice-of-life focused. The protagonist appeared in my previous story, but this story doesn't rely on anything from it, and the protagonist won't join the lousy doctor's side. 5. The bonus chapters include the Detective Conan world from my first story. 6. If you like it, please add it to your reading list~ My completed stories: The Days a Real Agent in the Black Organization Spirited Away a Workaholic Wine and Thorn Birds, a two-part series set in a parallel world with Gin The Troublesome Older Brother Who's a Workaholic [Genshin Impact] The Geo Archon Has a Slime, a two-part series, and more I'd also like to recommend my currently updating Detective Conan fanfic, The Red Panda Looks for Its Dad. It's the story of the protagonist Akizawa as a child. Please add it to your reading list! Blurb: Chestnut is a red panda spirit adopted by a human(?) dad. In human form, he has silver hair and bright green eyes like his dad, with chubby cheeks and a little cowlick. He's absolutely adorable. One day, he accidentally transmigrates, though he doesn't realize it and sadly tries to find his missing dad. A System spots little Chestnut in the space-time turbulence and is surprised to discover that he's the former Host's child. Filled with affection, it immediately rewrites its program into a Find-Dad System. It plans to bind little Chestnut to the world where its former Host is and send him home. But the new System has just started the job, and although it thinks it's reliable, it's actually not all that dependable. As you might expect, it sets the wrong destination during the transmigration. Help! The System looks worriedly at hungry little Chestnut and sighs with a world-weary air. Luckily, its brother spots a counterpart of the former Host in this world! Scene One: Little Chestnut is astonished to see his dad on the street. His cheeks turn pink and he runs over happily, shouting, "Papa!" The System also rushes over in tears: "Dad! Please carry me!" Akiba Yoru: "?" Where did this kid come from? Scene Two: Akiba Yoru takes little Chestnut to meet the Black Organization's workaholic, whom he once slept with. Without batting an eye, he says, "This is my kid. I gave birth to him. Congratulations, you're a dad!" The workaholic sneers. "You can give birth?" Akiba Yoru: "I'm not human. I was pregnant for one day, and this kid hatched from an egg. You know, nonhumans?" The workaholic laughs helplessly. (There are no nonhumans. Akiba Yoru is just making things up.) They bet on the results of a paternity test. If Akiba Yoru wins, he gets a commitment; if he loses, he lets Gin sleep with him again. Later, Gin stares thoughtfully at the test results confirming paternity. Akiba Yoru falls into thought, then breaks into wild joy. Little Chestnut falls into thought. So I'm really Dad's biological kid? The System quietly takes credit: "I knew the former Host's counterpart wouldn't be able to escape Gin's trap either. That was my assist. You're welcome!" Scene Three: One day, Vodka wakes up completely confused and frantically calls his big brother, shouting at the top of his lungs: "Big brother! I'm reporting this! Rye is an undercover agent from Southeast Asia! He uses dark magic!" Gin: "?" Scene Four: Little Chestnut clings to his dad and warily watches Black Rye, Akai. "Uncle, good people aren't allowed to break up other people's families!" Akai, who once saw the child call Gin Dad, thinks for a second and decides to keep testing him. "But I'm a bad person. I'm here to join your family." Little Chestnut: "!!!" Scene Five: Little Chestnut clenches his fist. Both Dads have lost their memories. I'll work hard to help them get back together! (Flames flare up in the background.) Little Chestnut: This family would fall apart without me! Little Chestnut sighs and turns into his red panda form, acting cute as he rubs his head all over Dad. "Squeak~" (The red panda is not a baby giant panda. It's a red panda wearing its black coat inside out.) The romance is between the dads: Akiba Yoru x Gin. Theme: Treat your family, friends, and loved ones with sincerity.
