Natural Disaster? I'll Catch Mice and Raise Them for You [Natural Disaster]

A deafening crash rang across the sky. The moon disappeared, and the apocalypse began.

Epidemics, tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, endless days, endless nights, extreme cold, extreme heat... One disaster after another filled people with despair.

Shang Feibai, who had turned into a cat, clung to his partner's arm, just as worried as everyone else.

But the harsher the conditions, the more you have to fight. He had sworn to provide for his partner... and his partner's dog!

Starting with a cat and bringing along his dog sidekick, Shang Feibai set out to conquer the world.

While others could barely see in the endless night, Shang Feibai darted around with his cat eyes wide open.

While others shivered in the extreme cold, Shang Feibai shook out his fur and dragged a wild rabbit back through the snow.

While others struggled to move through earthquakes, Shang Feibai rode his partner's dog at a gallop along the jolting roads.

While others fought to survive the floods, Shang Feibai... Shang Feibai was grabbed by the scruff by Ye An and stuffed into his pocket dimension.

Locked inside, Shang Feibai scampered around. "Waaah, An'an, let me out! I'm good at everything, I can warm your bed and be your hand warmer. How can you bear to lock up such an adorable kitty? QAQ"

The dog, locked inside with him, licked Shang Feibai. "Daddy, Daddy! But you can't swim!"

"Shut up!" Shang Feibai's fur stood on end. "And I'm not your dad!"

"Okay, Daddy! No problem, Daddy!" the dog answered, head held high.

Shang Feibai: "..." What an idiot.

As the disasters worsened, life became harder for animals, too. The moment they showed themselves, starving humans would catch and butcher them. There was no longer any talk of protecting animals.

Animals spread the word to each other, and almost all of them avoided humans, until they came across a cat and a dog who weren't afraid of death and mixed in with people.

The animals: "Don't go over there! Humans will eat you! You'll definitely die!"

Shang Feibai and the dog: "?"

After directing the dog to carry the evidence to the police, Shang Feibai received an official reward: a large box of precious pet-food cans that had long since disappeared from the market.

The animals, who had come to see how the cat and dog would meet their gruesome ends, witnessed everything: "??? Holy crap, boss! Are you taking on underlings?"

Looking at the world after the great disaster, Ye An sighed with worry. "What do we do next?"

Carrying a rose the animals had helped him find, Shang Feibai turned with confidence. "Disasters? I'll catch mice to support you."

Ye An: "..."

Whatever. My husband has never been normal. I'll just make do. What else can I do, leave him?

Disasters expected to appear, in no particular order: endless days, endless nights, extreme cold, extreme heat, earthquakes, tsunamis, epidemics, floods, tornadoes, sandstorms, and more

1. A slow burn, a slow burn, a slow-burn story. Set in an alternate world, so don't nitpick the details.

2. The top is the main character, but there are two points of view, and both the top and bottom will get their share of the story.

3. The top transmigrates as a cat and raises a dog with the bottom as their kid. The bottom has a golden finger that lets him store supplies and pets, but he can't enter it himself.

4. A slice-of-life story about the little things. Neither the top nor the bottom wants to be a savior; they just want to take care of their own little family.

5. This story was born from the author's resentment after Omicron knocked them flat. It's purely a personal indulgence.

6. After the story begins, updates will be posted daily at 12 noon. If you like it, please add it to your favorites. The order in which I start writing will depend on the number of pre-release favorites.

7. The blurb may change, but the core premise won't. I'm terrible at writing blurbs, sob.
