#How to cope with waking up in the apocalypse after transmigrating from the cultivation world
Former leader of the Immortal Alliance, Daoist Lord Xuandu, Wen Chi, had something to say about failing his tribulation:
Bad news: from the start, a vicious neighbor barged in. The original body's spiritual power was shattered, he was starving and barely had a breath left, and they were going to force him into a horde of zombies to die.
Good news: the apocalypse had shattered the old order. Whoever had the biggest fists was king.
He was already tired of being the righteous path's greatest leader anyway.
At the critical moment, Wen Chi smiled faintly, picked up a vase from the shoe cabinet, and casually smashed it over someone's head. This new world was pretty nice.
He wanted to go outside and take a look.
But his personal magnetism was simply too strong. Wherever he went, crowds of followers gathered, crying and begging him to take them along, scrambling over each other to cling to him.
On his first day outside the residential complex:
The leader of the Dawn Base took to him at first sight and invited him over. A deranged politician was willing to wash his hands and cook for him.
The most unruly powerhouse volunteered to attend to his every need.
Even a flirtatious playboy who liked to keep a whole pond of fish treated him like an honored guest and gave up the entire pond for him.
-
And so Wen Chi settled into a wonderful, painless retirement.
While the other ability-user teams fought for their lives,
Wen Chi lazed around, ate to his heart's content, and traveled the world.
Every time he went out, he brought his own B-king red carpet and a bunch of luxurious tables and chairs,
plus underlings scrambling to hold an umbrella for him.
Gold, silver, and jewels, heavenly-tier crystal cores, and mountains of resources: he had everything.
At first, plenty of people secretly looked down on him.
What gave a useless guy like him the right to all this?
Until the day zombies besieged the city, and the horde surged beneath the walls.
Dark clouds loomed overhead. Just as the major bases were falling into despair,
Mascot Wen Chi appeared out of nowhere, hovering in midair with flames flickering in his hand. The countless zombies below instantly turned to dust.
Everyone: "...Holy crap, boss!!"
He's that strong! Why didn't you say so earlier? Even a ninth-tier Zombie King couldn't withstand a single move from him! Are you taking on any more devotees? I can even put your shoes on for you!!
Wen Chi: "It's nothing... really, it's nothing."
#As the saying goes,
#The earlier you cling to someone's leg, the better
#He just wants to laze around. It's not like he's actually useless, okay!
1. Slow burn, slow burn, slow burn. This is a fictional setting, so don't nitpick the details.
2. The golden finger is ridiculously overpowered. The protagonist is invincible, and the villains are dumbed down. Read with caution if that bothers you.
3. After the story begins, updates will be posted every day at 12:00 noon. If you like it, please add it to your favorites. The order in which I start stories will depend on how many people save them in advance.
4. The blurb may change, but the central premise won't. I'm terrible at writing blurbs, sob.
