When she was very young, Yaozhu knew that He Chengfeng wasn't her real uncle.
During the time she lived under his care, she looked down on him and secretly fell for him. But faced with his indifferent attitude, she eventually cast aside her girlish feelings and came to hate him with all her heart.
The day they broke off all ties, the rain came down hard. After hearing her harsh words, He Chengfeng calmly wiped his glasses and told someone to take her away.
Yaozhu refused. She sped off through the rain and got into a car accident.
When she opened her eyes again, her mind was in disarray. Seeing He Chengfeng arrive, travel-worn, she timidly called him, "Husband?"
After the accident, Yaozhu not only lost her memory, but mistakenly believed He Chengfeng was her devoted, desperate husband, who loved her beyond hope of ever winning her heart.
When she woke one day, she decided to make a life with him.
First, she agreed to move in together.

In He Chengfeng's eyes, Ming Yaozhu was willful and spoiled, nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum. He never took her pranks to heart.
But her behavior and condition after the accident forced him to face the fact that his little niece had hit her head and lost her mind.
He watched the sunrise with her, admired snowy scenery, and rang in the New Year beneath fireworks.
He knew it was all to help with her treatment and restore her memories.
Until one day, she came to her senses.
When he saw the look of disgust in her eyes, he felt none of the relief he'd expected.

The villa on the hillside stood beneath a clear sky and bright moon.
He Chengfeng lowered his eyes, wiped the tears from the corner of hers, and asked why she was crying.
Ming Yaozhu snapped, "You took advantage of me while I had amnesia, even though you knew we weren't that kind of relationship."
She tried to wipe her lips, but he caught her hand and pinned it firmly behind her waist.
His burning breath brushed her ear. He Chengfeng's Adam's apple bobbed, and his voice turned hoarse:
"Every night, you needed this to fall asleep, and kept asking me to do it again."
"It's fine if you've forgotten."
"I'll help you remember."

[Before You Read]
Twelve-year age gap / Male lead has no prior sexual experience / The female lead once suffered an unrequited crush on the male lead, and also had an ex and a fiance. Their romance follows the clichéd setup of "you love me most when I don't love you," with a messy mix of melodrama, amnesia, and a fake uncle-niece relationship. You could call it a "chasing his wife to the crematorium" story (?). It's a romance novel, and no matter how much they put each other through the wringer, the leads' mutual attraction will be unmistakable later on. The author is a die-hard fan of romance pairings, and this is exactly the sort of CP I love. Thanks for reading =w=
