Paper Doll

Lin Li, 35 years old, a woman who graduated ten years ago and has accomplished nothing since.

She had long forgotten why she was rejected from that interview.

Her education? Major? Age? Height? Looks? Marital or parental status? Something else?

She frantically buries herself in bed, trying to numb her nerves with memories.

Until one second before she falls asleep...

The paper doll. It appeared without a sound, and it would never leave.

It had no fixed shape, no features, and no particular size. It had only a mouth curved into a perfect smile.

Its reactions were always one second slower than yours, yet it was always trying to live your life for you.
