The Zenin Clan Defector Is a Model Student

If you asked Zenyuan Mao what the Zenin family's specialty was, she'd tell you it was producing deadbeats.

The Zenin family had been churning out deadbeats for years. Just among the main family's current generation, there were several. In the previous generation, several leading contenders for the next clan head had children with almost no cursed energy, and lost their chance to become clan head as a result.

"Otherwise, why do you think Zenin Naoya is such a piece of trash, yet can sit securely in the position of next clan head? It's because he has a cursed technique. The Zenin family has lowered its standards because it has no other options." Zenyuan Mao sat with her legs crossed on the lectern at Tokyo Jujutsu High, explaining this family secret to Nobara and Yuji, who weren't born into the Zenin family.

The secret was that the previous generation of the Zenin family was pretty useless.

"You mean me?" Mao chuckled. "Of course I'm one of them. At least I was the year I ran away."

"What about now?"

"Still one of them. No matter who asks, my answer is yes." Mao stood up and brushed the wrinkles from her clothes. "Don't doubt your teacher's honesty. I'm not your Gojo-sensei. He's the one who likes to pull the wool over your eyes."

"I don't lie. If you don't believe me, you can ask Megumi." She narrowed her eyes, and there was something strange about her expression.

It really looked as though she was hinting at something.
