I Got Caught Using a Flirt's Playbook on a Dating Show by My Nemesis

He Nanxing, a useless pretty face drowning in scandals, is invited to join a top-tier dating show packed with A-list stars.

As soon as the news breaks, the casting choice sparks public outrage. Netizens demand that He Nanxing withdraw, insisting he's not worthy of appearing on the same dating show as the nation's beloved heartthrob, Su Xiyu.

But no one knows that He Nanxing, the object of everyone's mockery, is actually playing a villain. His script calls for him to fawn over the several male contestants who are pursuing Su Xiyu, acting as a mere foil to the adored star.

He Nanxing had accepted this well enough, but who could have guessed his role was nothing like the ordinary, straightforward, simple job it seemed?

The male contestants he's supposed to please turn out to be three men he already knows.

Before the He family fell from power, they had obeyed He Nanxing in everything. Yet when he was at his most helpless, they told him that Su Xiyu had always been the one they loved most.

He Nanxing put up with all this when he thought of the figure on his contract. But then he turned around and spotted someone else, and the excitement shot through the roof.

Well, would you look at that: Jiang Chuanqiong, his long-lost nemesis and ex.

He Nanxing figures that openly flirting with the other male contestants in front of his ex might not be the best idea.

But Jiang Chuanqiong is still his nemesis, and He Nanxing loves pulling this sort of act just to get under someone's skin.

Under Jiang Chuanqiong's gaze, he diligently carries out his mission. He runs between the three male contestants, his feelings seemingly so sincere that anyone would say He Nanxing loves deeply and truly.

Only when he's with Jiang Chuanqiong does he let his real personality show.

After catching him in the act yet again, He Nanxing grabs Jiang Chuanqiong by the collar and yanks him close. His posture is intimate, but his eyes are full of hatred.

"Enjoying the show? What exactly do you want?"

Jiang Chuanqiong grips He Nanxing tightly around the waist and is about to speak when he realizes He Nanxing has quietly set his tie on fire.

Locked in a battle of wills, they hide their love.

The netizens should have been condemning He Nanxing for being unworthy, but somehow the mood shifts. They start pairing him with all sorts of people, and his name stays on the trending charts.

When the production team realizes things have gone off course, they hurriedly call off the contract.

He Nanxing immediately stops pretending to like those men. To his surprise, the ones who once hated him change their tune and do everything they can to earn his forgiveness.

With his rivals making a sudden, aggressive move, Jiang Chuanqiong loses his composure too. Just like when they were teenagers, he sneaks through He Nanxing's window in the middle of the night.

As He Nanxing stares at him in shock, Jiang Chuanqiong kisses his fingertips.

"He Nanxing, save me. I'm so in love with you I'm about to die."
