A Blind Date with My High School Teacher

[01]

After her family nagged her to get married every day, Liu Chanyuan had no choice but to step into the graveyard of blind dates.

What he never expected was that the first person he was matched with would be his former high school homeroom teacher.

Liu Chanyuan: What a coincidence, Teacher. Nobody wants you either?

Xi Wang: …

Liu Chanyuan: You're not doing too well either, Teacher. You're such a catch on the dating market, but you still can't get married.

Xi Wang: …

Liu Chanyuan: I'm different. There are plenty of people lining up to marry me!

Xi Wang: Get out and stand in the hall!

Liu Chanyuan: …

Liu Chanyuan obediently went out and stood in the hall.

After his nephew's school called for a parent, Liu Chanyuan became the cheap nephew's cheap dad.

The person who'd called him in, however, was someone he'd just met.

Liu Chanyuan: What a coincidence, Teacher.

Xi Wang: Why is it you again?

Liu Chanyuan: What did my nephew do? Get into a fight? It's fine. Puppy love? He deserves a reward. Make the teacher angry? That just means he isn't afraid of authority.

Xi Wang: Your nephew's essay is titled, "After Becoming a Kid in a Beloved Child Novel, I Battle Wits with the Villainous Uncle."

Liu Chanyuan: ???

Liu Chanyuan dragged his nephew over and gave him a beating.

Thanks to a certain nephew who prefers to remain anonymous, Liu Chanyuan and Xi Wang began their days of calling each other in as parents.

Later, a certain Mr. Xi, who also prefers to remain anonymous, said he genuinely had no idea how he'd survived teaching two little troublemakers every day.

Liu Chanyuan: Teacher, what are you talking about?

Xi Wang: I'm not your teacher!

CP: A gong who's in a wonderful mood every day x a sharp-tongued beauty shou who'd love nothing more than to tear the roof off

*The gong and shou's names come from "The Lady of the Xiang River" in the Songs of Chu: "Distant and hazy, I gaze afar, watching the water flow and ripple."

Theme: Stay true to your original aspiration and press on.
