Today's Script: Rikkai Dai Will Win

[The entire novel is complete] Ichiyo Kaito is a permanent NPC at Rikkai. An unofficial one. Before Yukimura had even managed to get rid of Mori, the champion of skipping practice, he turned around and discovered that Ichiyo Kaito, who'd gotten hit in the head and lost his mind, had joined the team too. After hearing Ichiyo Kaito's completely nonsensical excuse, Yukimura asked, "Your reason for skipping practice was to travel all the way to Tokyo and play a match against a first-year..." "And then lose?!" Ichiyo Kaito, who had just happened to be passing by but was determined to stick to his script, protested: "No, I was playing Obstacle Number One in the young hero's story, The Wind and Rain Tennis Road." Yukimura: ...Where do you keep getting these weird scripts? Kanto Tournament. Echizen Ryoma was surprised to see that his opponent had a head of unruly, fluffy curls. He was the "senior" he'd briefly met at Kakigizaka Tennis Park. Could that delinquent boy who'd set up a weird betting game at the tennis park really be a regular on Rikkai's team? But remembering their last match, Echizen confidently swung his racket. "I'm not going to lose to someone I've already beaten." Ichiyo Kaito blinked. "But Rikkai is the protagonist in my script..." What I mean is, in today's script, Rikkai wins. The air split with a sharp whoosh. The sound of the tennis ball landing behind him was deafening. Looking at Ichiyo Kaito, whose gaze had completely changed, Echizen asked doubtfully, "Have we really played a match before?" Ichiyo Kaito won the match with ease. "Yes, but I'm a professional NPC." When it's time to change the script, you have to faithfully fulfill your role in it. Rikkai has no room for slackers. Do you really think Ichiyo Kaito, who'd held a regular spot since his first year, was an ordinary guy? Before he got hit in the head, he was one of Rikkai's aces. And he still is. Coming Soon 1 "Atobe Is Our King!!" Atobe, the only son of the Atobe conglomerate. Handsome, flamboyant, with an impeccable record. At six, he studied kindergarten in England. At seven, he graduated and returned to Japan to attend the prestigious Eden Academy. Atobe's father said, "Become an imperial student, and never forget the glory of the Atobe family." Of course he'd become an imperial student! Atobe clenched his fist. His chubby baby face was filled with determination. Hmph, sons of high-ranking officials, young masters from noble families... They'll all bow to my charm and strength! First day of school. A pink-haired girl tugged at Atobe's clothes. "The Spy Princess! Waku waku! Anya loves it!" Atobe eyed her warily. "Damn it, how do you know my mother is a spy?!" * Atobe after starting school: "Damian!! Keep your lackeys away from me!!!" Anya: "...Anya... Anya isn't the second son's lackey!!!" Damian: ", Achoo!! I told you not to bring so many roses to school!" Atobe: "Forget it. This world is hopeless. And Damian and his lackey Anya have no taste." 1. Atobe!! Atobe!! 2. First grade, but with kindergarten-level fiction ( 3. A crossover with a little Detective Conan. The characters will be adapted to fit the setting. For example, Eden students end up in Tokyo, Japan, Twilight is assigned to the FBI, and Yor gets sent to the organization... Something along those lines (they won't necessarily actually join the FBI or the organization, it's just a hypothetical setting!) 4. No CP! If there absolutely has to be one, it'll be adult Damian x Anya! Coming Soon 2 "Nioh, Inarizaki, and Volleyball" Including, but not limited to... One more white-haired fox at Inarizaki The Miya triplets on the court (?): Miya Atsumu, Miya Osamu, and Miya Masaharu (?) I'm not sure if it'll happen, but what if magical tennis invaded volleyball... There's no reason tennis moves couldn't be used in volleyball, right? Nioh: Wait, human arms can't be used like tennis rackets... Still, a trickster can do anything. Nioh: This time I'm telling the truth, in a way (I'm talking about pranks). Volleyball with twelve people is way more fun than doubles. 1. One important point: the story starts after Rikkai's sixteen consecutive Kanto wins and its runner-up finish at Nationals. 2. "No need to dwell on yesterday," so be fearless challengers. 3. Beginners are less skilled than Nioh at volleyball, so it's a gradual leveling-up process. 4. In the end, he'll still play tennis, because he's Nioh Masaharu. 5. If the world setting allowed it, I really would love to write a plot like, "You think there's only one Nioh, but it turns out the entire middle-school tennis world has shown up." Here's an old joke: The Prince of Tennis was all acted out by Nioh alone. Reader's Guide 1. Rikkai's three consecutive national titles are a sure thing. Lots of friends and a strong ensemble cast. 2. The NPC thing is a side effect of Kaito getting hit in the head. It's a normal world, except the tennis is supernatural (?). 3. Although there are scripts, they aren't reliable at all!! Kaito is a one-celled puppy who disrupts the tennis club's ecosystem. Let him loose and he'll ruin Rikkai's reputation. 4. To this day, we still don't know where the weird scripts in Kaito's head come from. 5. About the timeline: using Yukimura as the reference point, the story begins in his second year. The World Cup won't be covered. Theme: Life is about exercise.
