Because of the System's promise, made after it had put him through hell, that if he came to Japan and played tennis for three years, he wouldn't forget Yukimura and the others, Hajime Mizuki came to Japan once more.

But three years was a long time, and joining the tennis club alone would be no fun. So he persuaded his close friend, who had already left the St. Rudolph tennis team and put that burden behind him, to join Rikkai University Affiliated High School as well. Then he joined the tennis club with his friend, who was moving up to Rikkai's high school division, becoming a member of the Rikkai High School tennis team.

Everything was going according to plan, but then the System, which had been silent for ages, suddenly spoke up: "Finish the tasks I've given you sooner, and you'll be free sooner."

At the mention of freedom, Hajime gave in.

But why hadn't it explained that if he failed a task, he'd forget everyone?

He had still been somewhat skeptical, but...

He really did fail his task.

On the nth day, Hajime looked blankly at the two groups standing in front of him, blocking his way. He had no idea who they were.

Jiangchuan's lips twitched as he looked at the demons circling around him: If he couldn't see all these demons, just how nearsighted would he have to be? An onmyoji trapped in a hot spring barrier?

Nagasawa Chizuru emerged from the hot spring, turned her face away, and blushed. In a quiet voice, she said, "I'll take responsibility."

Jiangchuan looked at the bashful onmyoji as if he had misheard her: "Take responsibility? Wait! You haven't misunderstood something, have you?"

Good grief, all he wanted was to play normal tennis. Why was it so hard?
