The Prince of Tennis: Rikkai Will Be Victorious

Kuwahara Hii started running with his cousin, Kuwahara Sou, to build up his health because of a physical condition.

Since he felt too lonely, he transferred to a new elementary school and joined the soccer team.

But because he transferred midway through the school year and because of his personality, he didn't get along with the other students or the soccer club, so he decided to try a different team sport in middle school.

After Seiichi Yukimura discovered him and brought him into the tennis club, his difficult days began, even before Akaya Kirihara joined.

"I hope you find a sport you love." With Chigiri Hyoma's encouragement, Kuwahara Hii came to Rikkai.

"You're far too lax," Genichiro Sanada scolded him.

"Kuwahara-san, you'll have to work harder!" Seiichi Yukimura smiled brightly, though black lilies were already blooming behind him.

"Piyo, Kuwahara-san injured my leg on his very first day. Don't you think I deserve a little extra consideration?" A glint shone in Masaharu Niou's eyes, while the few people who knew the truth said nothing to Kuwahara Hii, who remained completely in the dark.

Kuwahara Hii has black hair and purple eyes. He started school a year early, so he's actually younger than Akaya Kirihara. He's easily distracted, so he often doesn't pay attention when people are talking. He also has a naturally sour expression, so people assume he's angry as soon as they see him.

But once you get to know him, it's easy to see that Kuwahara Hii is actually very straightforward, and all his feelings show clearly on his face.

After he grows closer to Niou and the others later on, their personalities will gradually rub off on him. In other words, their auras will sync up, though Kuwahara Hii will still sometimes show his airheaded side.

Kuwahara Hii probably won't use any special moves in this story. He'll play basic, realistic tennis, but with some volleyball techniques incorporated into his game.
