Don't Wish [Entertainment Industry]

Childhood sweethearts | Rekindled love | Showbiz | Running away while pregnant

On the day Yan Qing wins Best Actress, it is revealed that she is already three months pregnant. Paparazzi release photos of her entering and leaving a private hospital. She gives no further explanation or public statement, and flies abroad alone after the awards ceremony.

Four years later, in a villa on the outskirts of Yucheng, Yan Qing watches the little toddler playing with the housekeeper in the yard and says into the phone, "So what? What does it have to do with you? I gave birth to the child, and I can afford to raise them. There's no need to trouble yourself, Mr. Lin."

Later, in the backstage lounge at a film awards ceremony, the newly crowned Yan Qing is pushed onto a table by the person who walks in and is encircled in his arms.

"Miss Yan, when are you going to give me a title?"

She plays dumb. "What title?"

The man presses close, his nose brushing against hers. "The man behind the Best Actress, or the father of the Best Actress's child. Pick one. I'll leave it up to Mrs. Lin."

"Don't resent the past, and don't long for the future."
