Land of Faith [Sentinel and Guide]

■ The unexpected arrival beats the childhood friend | Male rivalry | Unrequited love

■ Female sentinel, male guide

As the only female sentinel in the Zhidi world, Yin Shuyi can choose any guide she wants.

Before she came of age, a childhood friend who was a guide stayed by her side. Everyone assumed he would be her first choice. But on the day she came of age, Yin Shuyi stood in the center of the crowd and pointed to Ling Shang, standing beside her childhood friend.

"I choose him," she said amid everyone's bewilderment.

That night, she brought the unwanted illegitimate son of the Ling family back to the Yin household. The two trained together, went on missions together, and became each other's most trusted support.
