They met again at a high school social.
Akashi had red hair and wore a crisp white shirt, gazing down upon everyone like an emperor.
Atobe gave a light laugh and snapped his fingers. "The Rakuzan Emperor is indeed dazzling. What a pity that those eyes... never look anyone in the face."
Akashi gave him a glance devoid of warmth.
Atobe slowly lowered his raised hand and scoffed. "So you're just a heartless coward."
Everyone thought they could never get along.
Until the day Atobe slammed Akashi against a wall and crushed his lips with a kiss full of hatred.
Atobe was like a furious lion. "A Seiji, you bit me? If you're going crazy, then I'm even crazier!"
Akashi raised a hand to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth, his expression as indifferent as if he were looking at a stranger. "Keigo, I never pity the defeated. When that match ended, you were already out."
But only later did Atobe learn that the gentle A Seiji he had loved had already been killed by the emperor with those red eyes. The one he faced had always been a madman, obsessive to the bone.
But did a madman not deserve his pity? No. Keigo Atobe was determined to give it to him anyway.
