Yueshan Bai's ability is called Cat. As the name suggests, he can split into several cats with different personalities and abilities. Each cat carries a part of Yueshan Bai's personality and memories. When a cat is recalled, the abilities it carries return to his main body.

After careful consideration, Yueshan Bai decides to open a cat cafe in Mihua Town. It's full of danger, but the rent is exceptionally cheap. He sends his energetic cat clones, who are always wrecking the place and fighting, out to work, earning cat treats for himself.

He thinks he'll enjoy a peaceful retirement, reading books, raising cats, and making coffee. Then one day, he realizes that one of the few regular customers, a police officer with shoulder-length hair, hasn't come by in ages.

The day after he sees the news, Yueshan Bai spends the whole night comforting a Maine Coon that was especially close to the officer. The cat wails until it is dehydrated, while Yueshan Bai holds it in his arms.

After a long silence, he finally makes a decision.

A month later, the shoulder-length-haired officer steps into the shop and immediately calls the Maine Coon by name, full of enthusiasm.

“Little Moon~ I'm back to play with you~”

Quietly, Yueshan Bai, who had been dozing on the counter, opens his eyes.

Through journey after journey through time, Yueshan Bai meets five close friends who are all police officers. Though he doesn't know why they keep putting themselves in mortal danger, he repeatedly gives up his clones to keep them alive, without a moment's regret. During the final time reversal, Yueshan Bai recalls the last orange-and-white cat, allowing a certain blond police officer to survive. Everything resets to the beginning of the best possible outcome.

The memories of his eight split selves return to his main body after many years apart.

For the eighth time, Yueshan Bai opens his eyes in the cat cafe. His arms are empty. Gone are his troublesome clones, who used to pull each other's hair and brawl until cat fur flew everywhere.

Bang, bang, bang!!

A series of violent blows hits the door.

Yueshan Bai looks up. Five men, saved by him eight times and built like gorillas, stare at him with strangely benevolent smiles.
