Wei Li, a third-year student majoring in Classical Chinese Literature, received this assignment one sunny afternoon: livestream a storytelling session about a novel from the Ming or Qing dynasties, with no limit on the chapters covered, and get more than 500 views.
After much deliberation, he decided to start with the part of Journey to the West that had always left him unable to let go: the White Bone Spirit’s three attacks. And so began his legendary (not really) career as a streamer.
From then on, the world of Journey to the West had a sky screen obsessed with spoiling the story.
At White Tiger Ridge, while listening to the sky screen tell the story of “The Great Sage’s Three Battles with the White Bone Spirit,” Tang Sanzang silently shut his mouth and watched as the Great Sage pulled out some melon seeds and started messing with the demon:
“Where are you headed?”
“Do you have a daughter at home? Has she ever studied? What medicine is she taking now?”
At Pingding Mountain, after listening to the Gold and Silver Horned Kings shout themselves hoarse from across the way, the Great Sage picked at his ear:
“What kind of grandson?”
“What kind of traveler?”
“What traveler grandson?”
At Fire Cloud Cave, while listening to the sky screen tell the story of “Guanyin Subdues Red Boy,” Sun Wukong flashed a toothy grin at the kid swinging on a tree branch, then quickly summoned the little troublemaker’s parents. He fanned the flames and watched from the front row as the kid got what was coming to him:
“Good nephew, you know demons eat kids who lie, right?”
“Big brother, if a kid won’t behave, he’s probably a lost cause. Just give him a beating.”
“Sister-in-law, it’s no good letting our nephew slack off like this every day. Demons need to be trained from childhood!”
Looking at his perfect participation score, Wei Li sighed. “Another perfectly ordinary day as a Journey to the West streamer~”

Yamu Kyuji is a hardworking number-two laborer determined to make the liquor organization bigger and stronger. Today, too, he’s worrying himself sick over the organization.
Gin: “Bourbon’s in the cops’ hands. Go get him out.”
Yamu Kyuji: ?
Inspector Megure: “There’s a case we can’t solve. Yamu, old pal, I’m counting on you.”
Yamu Kyuji: …
Rams: “The tech team can’t find anyone. Bro, fill in and develop some software.”
Yamu Kyuji: .
Boss: “Some rats are planning to use our bombs to blow up the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Go defuse them so the organization doesn’t get exposed.”
Yamu Kyuji: ?! I #%*@@@■#☆
Hello? I can’t do this job anymore.
Gin, take care of yourself :)
Theme: What’s this, an unresolved regret? Let’s flatten it :D
