Sayan is seventeen. He has lived in a tower for years and knows nothing of the ways of the world. His jewel-like green eyes have been blind since birth, and a year after he entered the tower, his hair mysteriously turned white.

But unexpectedly, with Sayan's help, Moon experiences the most blissful Blood Moon night of his life.

At last, Moon has a Guide of his own, and he can't wait to dote on him. The two are inseparable, and members of the Knights' Order often see their commander pinning his much younger Guide against a desk and kissing him.

Sayan is extraordinarily beautiful, and the rare blush on his face after a kiss leaves the commander, who has been celibate for years, utterly enchanted.

Although Sayan is quiet and not very considerate, Moon loves him deeply.

Moon has always believed their bond was going smoothly and that they were living happily, until one day flames devour Sayan's usually impassive face.

Only then does he realize that his Guide has never smiled, not even once.

A few things to know before reading: 1. A Grade D Guide with emotional difficulties x a gentle, devoted Grade S Sentinel.

2. The top is a Guide. He won't die; he'll just go through a special ritual and become stronger later.

3. They are mutually in love. The bottom is good at expressing his feelings; the top loves him but can't express himself.
