A little idea: an incredibly powerful but unreliable boss and his all-purpose, dependable subordinate.
Everyone in the Organization knew that Brandy and his subordinate, Gin, were quite a pair. After all, you don't see a drunk senior every day, with his underage subordinate dragging him by the back of his collar to a safe house, wearing an utterly expressionless face.
Chianti once grabbed Brandy by the collar and shouted, "Look at his face! How can you make him run around taking care of you? I hear you even order him around every day and make him learn to cook for you. Everyone in the Organization is scum, but I've never heard of anyone as scummy as you. You bastard, if you picked him up, then take proper care of him!"
Brandy just smiled nonchalantly. "Isn't he doing just fine?" He pulled over the silver-haired, green-eyed boy standing beside him and, holding him by the back of the collar, waved him around like he was showing him off. "He's got food and clothes... I'm just giving him some early training..."
"You're just making excuses for being lazy!"
"You caught me."
Gin knew the man who'd picked him up was strong. He was the head of the field operations team, the legendary Night Demon who had never lost a fight. But Gin just couldn't connect that reputation with the lazy young man sprawled on the sofa, drawling as he asked Gin to go buy him liquor.
Must be a rumor, he thought, eyes lowered. He slammed the bottle down on the coffee table with a bang. "Just this one bottle. That's all you're getting." Ignoring the man's heartbroken wails of, "Jin, how could you treat me like this? You're so cruel..." he confirmed his suspicions: It had to be a rumor!
But when Gin failed a mission and silently waited for the blade to fall, the final strike never came. He opened his eyes and saw the black-haired man standing with his back to the light.
The man casually tossed aside the liquor bottle he'd used to block the blade. Glass shattered with a crisp crack. He lowered his head without a care and shook his wrist, but when he looked up, there was no smile on his face. "Has no one ever told you? This kid works for me."
It's not obvious, but these two are actually a couple.
The romance won't start until Gin is an adult!!!
