The Leisurely Daily Life of Consort An, Lady Li

Li Ruixi, female, one overworked office drone.

After finishing a patient's chart while running a high fever, her vision went dark. When she woke up, she'd unexpectedly transmigrated into the home of a Li family, becoming a sickly young lady kept at their country estate.

Li Ruixi only knew that her husband had sent her back to her parents' home because she was ill, and that she'd then been sent to the country estate to recuperate and avoid the gossip.

The servants were diligent, the maids considerate, and her family was fairly kind to her too.

After her initial unease, Li Ruixi settled into a leisurely and comfortable life in the countryside.

The only thing was, there were a lot of animals out here.

First came a Border Collie (why was there a Border Collie here?), then a little golden eagle, then a honey badger, followed by a giant panda, a peacock, and even a capybara.

Although Li Ruixi was baffled, she calmly accepted it (just considering it a perk of transmigrating), became an animal caretaker, and started planning for her retirement early.

She didn't pay much attention when her family occasionally gave her strange looks.

During an afternoon nap, Kangxi discovered that he had possessed a black-and-white dog. The one holding him was Consort An, Li Shi, who had just returned home from the palace.

In Kangxi's memory, Consort An had always been gentle and reserved, timid and prone to overthinking. She was nothing like someone born into a military family. Apart from the times she had sobbed when each of the previous two empresses died, Kangxi had never seen her show any strong emotions, much less laugh out loud without restraint.

And yet now Consort An was lifting him (the dog) high into the air, spinning around while holding him (the dog), and even making all kinds of things to play with him (the dog)?

Seeing this other side of Consort An, Kangxi grew increasingly curious.

The one thing he hadn't expected was that, while busy with everything else, Consort An would actually start thinking about taking in a live-in son-in-law!

Tsk! Utterly audacious and reckless... Only I can do that!

Reading guide:

1. Animals are animals, and possession is possession (no supernatural powers).

2. The live-in son-in-law plot appears around the middle of the story, not right away.

3. The story focuses mainly on daily life, with raising children as a secondary theme. It's warm and healing, and I hope everyone enjoys it ^^.

Message: No matter where you are, keep moving forward with determination.
