I Heard My Future Self Is a Paranoid, Beautiful Madwoman

2023.06.27

Recently, I met a man named Yan Yiming. With a grim look on his face, he blocked my way and confessed through gritted teeth, then solemnly declared that he would never fall for me. He said he was only doing all this to fulfill my dying wish.

I'm not about to die, so what dying wish? What a strange man. But Yan Yiming is exactly my type, both in looks and bearing. After a few seconds of hesitation, I accepted his confession.

He seemed surprised, and perhaps relieved. "If you're going to be mine, you'll have to do as I say. You can't fight for the Xiao family fortune."

I'm legally the Xiao family's adopted son, but I was never officially registered. What right would I have to claim their inheritance? Yan Yiming fell strangely silent when I asked.

Later, after the family fortune accidentally ended up in my hands, I "happened" to find the answer in Yan Yiming's diary. According to his diary, Yan Yiming had been reborn, and I was the Xiao family's real son, soon to be reunited with my birth family.

In my previous life, I was the real son, but my gloomy personality made the Xiao family dislike me. After years of unrequited love for Yan Yiming, I watched him and the sunny, talented fake son fall in love and prepare to live happily ever after. I grew ever more isolated and obsessive, until I went down a path of madness with no return.

I closed the diary and calmly said, "Let's break up."

Yan Yiming looked panicked. "Xiao Yu, you told me you loved me yesterday."

"I love your face." After thinking it over, I added, "And your body and connections. But you love my younger brother, Xiao Bai. Now that I have your connections, seeing your face and body will only disgust me."

"Who says I love him?!" Yan Yiming grew even more frantic. "I've only ever loved you. What can I say to make you believe me?"

"Nothing." I smiled indifferently. "Unless you die alone on the road, just like I did in my previous life."

That's right, my previous life.

Yan Yiming wasn't the only one reborn. In my previous life, though I was obsessive and deranged, I never laid a finger on him. When I saw him in danger, I even risked my life to save him.

But at the accident scene, Yan Yiming had eyes only for Xiao Bai. He had completely forgotten that I had just saved his life.

So I decided that if there were another life, I would hate him, use him, and take revenge on him, but I would never love him again...
