The Vampire Campus Beauty

Boton Private School is one of the oldest and most mysterious private schools in the Empire. Even in modern times, it clings to an old-fashioned system of education. It's also remote, perched on a cliff.

Jiang Lai is cold and reserved, with strikingly beautiful features. Everyone agrees he's a beautiful young man, but he's also an ordinary student, orphaned and admitted to Boton on a full scholarship.

Everyone dreams of getting into Boton. Its students are perfect and exceptional. Yet Jiang Lai is always alone, always buttoning his shirt to the very top. Even when on cleaning duty, he hurries past the fraternity houses without stopping.

In the twilight, the vampires smiled at him. "Do you know what we call you behind your back?"

Jiang Lai said, "I'm not interested."

The vampire lowered his voice, the tips of his fangs just visible between his lips. "The school belle."

Jiang Lai said, "Boring."

He yanked the vampire's arm away and left. The vampire picked up what Jiang Lai had dropped. It was the top button of his shirt, the one that had rested near the pulse beneath his neck. Now it shimmered in the twilight.

He could smell it.

Another vampire asked, "How does he taste?"

"Sweet."

The vampire pressed the top button to the corner of his lips and whispered.
