Lost in the Spring Mist

The synopsis may change, but the male lead's secret crush won't.

Years later, Su Li ran into Meng Zhiyu again at a party.

He was no longer the poor boy he'd been in high school. Dressed in an expensive custom suit, he moved effortlessly through the crowd, with a beautiful woman by his side. The peach-blossom eyes that had once been shy held nothing but indifference now.

Su Li remembered how cruelly she had rejected his confession back then. Thinking of how down on her luck she was now, she immediately fled.

A torrential downpour was falling outside. Su Li was relieved to have brought an umbrella and was about to dash into the rain.

Meng Zhiyu had appeared at some point. Watching her expressionlessly, he said, "I didn't bring an umbrella. Could you walk me to my car?"

Su Li nodded and kept her distance as she escorted him to his car.

Just as she was about to say goodbye, Meng Zhiyu suddenly grabbed her hand and asked, his face darkening, "Can I pursue you now?"

"When I was seventeen, I stumbled into a spring fog and have been lost in it ever since, unable to find my way out., Meng Zhiyu"
