A Summer Special

(The title may be changed to "Midsummer Heatwave")

Wen Shi has severe social anxiety. She's afraid of crowds and hates parties.

After the college entrance exam, she did something that took her beyond her fears, something that still thrills her whenever she thinks back on it: she stepped into the crowd, secretly bumped into Shi Che, and slipped a note into his palm. It read, "May I ask which university you're applying to?"

When Wen Shi got home from dinner that evening, she found a handwritten college application form in her backpack.

As if to make sure no one could mistake whose it was, two forcefully written characters at the top read: Shi Che.
