Kill That Vampire

>>> The blurb is in first person; the main story is in third person, he/him.

Eileen's perspective:

Ten years ago, hunters suffered a crushing defeat in the decisive battle against the vampires and were wiped out.

Yet, by some miracle, I survived and became the last vampire hunter in the world.

Hatred clutched at my heart. I had only one purpose in life: kill the vampire queen, Lilith, and avenge my people.

I would get close to her, bewitch her, seduce her.

Make her fall in love with me, submit to me, and die by my hand.

I built a city of eternal daylight for her and used a blood sacrifice to activate the formation, ensuring she would never escape for all eternity.

Watching her scream in agony under the holy light, barely clinging to life, I smiled faintly.

This is how a vampire should end.

Lilith's perspective:

I met a human girl.

Her name was Eileen. She rarely smiled, and was as cold as the wind on a winter night.

Yet somehow, I fell in love with her.

Fortunately, she loved me too.

She said she had a special gift for me. I walked into the castle, full of anticipation, only to find a blood-sacrifice formation of holy light waiting for me.

I was sealed inside the formation, unable to move. Holy light ravaged every inch of my skin. I wished I were dead, and screamed in agony.

But Eileen smiled right in front of me.

As I watched her smile, I smiled too.

She may not know that her blood burned me the very first time we met.

So I knew from the start that she was a vampire hunter.

But I love her. If I can make her smile, I am willing to die.

A few things to know:

1. A mountain of original worldbuilding and headcanons.

2. The setting is an alternate reality, but based on a modern urban world.

3. This is my first time trying this kind of story, so I let myself run a little wild.

4. If you don't like it or drop the story, please don't tell me. I'll be sad QWQ.

Theme: Love life.
