How Can I Live Without Cats? I'm Just Toughing It Out

[Socially anxious office worker with a funny streak x tsundere, gluttonous beauty of a cat]

Synopsis:

As a socially anxious office worker ground down by the 996 work schedule, Yu He hates every single human being equally.

She'd much rather cuddle up with fluffy little animals than spend time with people.

Around cats: ~(≧▽≦)/~

So when she saw her own cat turn into a beauty right before her eyes, she gritted her teeth and said shakily, "Turn back!"

The cat looked aggrieved. "I used up all my magic to become human."

There was nothing for it but to take her in for now.

Even in human form, the cat kept all her feline habits: rubbing against Yu He, snuggling up to her, and licking her. Yu He was very uncomfortable at first, but after three months together, day and night, she grew used to the soft, warm beauty in her arms.

One day, the beauty turned back into a cat.

Yu He tossed and turned, unable to sleep. At last, she reached out and poked the fluffy ball, frowning as she asked, "Could you turn back into a person?"

The cat swished her tail, rolled over, and went back to sleep.

Bonus scene:

Yu He rescued an injured cat, but the cat turned into a human and claimed to be the Cat God, promising to bring her endless good luck. A promotion, a raise, and marrying a beautiful rich woman would all be a piece of cake.

Later...

Yu He: "I got promoted and got a raise, but where's the beautiful rich woman?"

The cat said solemnly, "I'm the beautiful rich woman."
