Blurb:

After losing her battle with illness, Hua Yiyi died at the age of twenty. Her dying wish was to meet Mao Lilan.

It was an impossible fantasy.

The real world and the world of fiction were destined never to intersect.

Yet a hundred years later, an android modeled exactly on Hua Yiyi was created in the CRY Laboratory.

The android inherited some of Hua Yiyi's memories. When her program started up, her first words were, "Hello, Mao Lilan."

The CRY Laboratory had made initial progress in researching interdimensional travel, so they used the android Hua Yiyi as a test subject for the project.

At last, Hua Yiyi met Mao Lilan.

She gazed at her smiling face, touched her warmth, and felt her breathing...

Androids had no hearts, but Hua Yiyi could hear her own heart skip a beat.

The CRY Laboratory discovered that the existing interdimensional travel technology was highly unstable, so they declared the project a failure and sent Hua Yiyi a recall command.

But Hua Yiyi, whose factory settings made her "absolutely obedient to orders," refused to follow the command three times.

The CRY Laboratory then sent a more forceful program command, but the system showed that the recipient could not receive it.

This also meant that Hua Yiyi, an android, had gained independent consciousness and forcibly erased the program that received commands.

She wanted to stay in that world, the world where Mao Lilan lived.

I would return to the homeland of my heart, even if it meant another journey to certain death.

"I'll cross dimensions to love you."
