Don't Pick Up the Dragon King as Your Boyfriend

A foreign tribe fished a mermaid out of the Eastern Sea and offered him as tribute.

He put the mermaid in the palace bath, looking him over from every angle. No matter how he looked at him, the mermaid reminded him of his first love.

Unfortunately, the mermaid couldn't speak and seemed cold and distant. Only his eyes shimmered like rippling water.

He gave the mermaid his whole heart, loving him deeply and giving him whatever he wanted, treating him like a wife. But one day, the mermaid suddenly stole the palace's national treasure and fled after bringing down a heavenly tribulation.

After his kingdom fell, he went from emperor to refugee, suffering one hardship after another before becoming a wandering ascetic and walking thousands of miles.

One day, when another heavenly tribulation struck, he learned that he wasn't merely a mortal. He had once been a celestial lord in Heaven.

As the lightning struck, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.

It was the mermaid who had vanished long ago.

He laughed in fury and gripped the other's neck. "How dare you come back?"

The mermaid pointed to his belly. His expression was still cool and aloof, but he spoke haltingly:

"I... have... an... egg. You... can't... die."

He: "..."
