My Best Friend Is Pure Black in the IF Timeline?!

[Mimi fans, feel free to dive in. Meow Meow won't abandon this story!]

When feeling lazy: "Bestie~" (flops like a cat)

When acting cute: "Can't you really do it?"

When confused: "Meow meow meow?"

When shocked: "Meow meow meow?!"

When angry: "Meow, damn it!"

●

As a fragile, ordinary (not really) person, the protagonist has no idea that they've accidentally crossed into another world.

But since their besties are still there, the silly kitty doesn't realize anything is wrong.

For example: Did Dog Amuro and Midorikawa, their besties, become the real deal, no-holds-barred booze?

Kitty doesn't understand. Kitty is shocked.

●

[Scene One:]

Kitty: Sneakily fiddles with someone's hair.

Red Violin: ...Let go, Dreadnought.

Kitty (looking pitiful): Meow~

Red Violin: No acting cute, Dreadnought.

[Scene Two:]

Kitty: Meow~ Bestie, I'm hungry~

Black Scotland (fondly): Okay. Same as last time, right?

Black Bourbon: ..."Don't you have your own childhood friend?!!!"

[Scene Three:]

Kitty (horrified): Juniper! Bestie and Bourbon aren't undercover!!!

Red Violin (after a moment of silence): ...I and Uotsuka are undercover.

Kitty (stunned): Meow meow meow? ("Vodka is undercover?")

Red Violin (seriously): Witness Protection Program form, Dreadnought. Sign it.

[Scene N:]

Kitty (weakly): Is Shinichi here to arrest me too?

Black Gin and Tonic (Black Shinichi): ...No.

Kitty (teary-eyed): Meowww!

Black Shinichi: ("Trying to steal my girl...")

●

Kitty is falling apart. Kitty wants to go home!

Kitty: Meow...

(Pairing in the original world is with Gin. Pairing after changing worlds is undecided.)

[Warnings:

In this alternate world, Mi is already a fan favorite on the villains' side from the start.

Gin is on the good guys' side, and doesn't like Mi. (For now.)

The Shinichi and Ran pairing may be broken up, since Ran doesn't appear.

The good guys will have far less page time. (Though they didn't get much to begin with.)

In this version, Mi will have an even harder time resisting the urge to bite people's necks.

Mi will hang off people all the time.

Alternate-world Mi is weaker than the original Mi and harder to care for. (So they're not a fighter.)

Evan was forcibly recruited into the Organization. He and Moore are respectively an informant and a mole, and neither knows this version of Mi well.

If any of that bothers you, this author doesn't welcome unreasonable stans.]
