After My Cunning Cousin Ran Away from Her Wedding

Black-hearted Miaojiang Saintess x aloof nobleman

When Tan Zhiyi learned that his cousin, who had come to his residence to await her wedding, had boldly run away to escape the marriage, his heart, usually as cold as ice, grew restless.

He never expected that the woman would really flee after chaos broke out in Yujing. He knew better than anyone who she had run away for.

Sometimes, when passion took hold and she was fragrant with the scent of lotus, she would keep asking him by his ear:

"Do you really love me?"

"After I break off the engagement, will you come to my family and ask for my hand?"

He would offer a few perfunctory replies, though inwardly he felt nothing but contempt. What future could there possibly be for the two of them?

Tan Zhiyi found it laughable. Had she forgotten how she'd seduced him? She was about to marry someone else, so why ask him such questions? Besides, he was the eldest legitimate son of the Tan family, the most dazzling, upright gentleman in the eyes of outsiders. How could he possibly give everything up for her?

Before the wedding, he resolved to put the past behind him. But the warmth of her lips against his stirred feelings he hadn't expected, and suddenly he didn't want her to marry anyone else.

"If you run away from this marriage, perhaps I'll marry you."

When she really did run away, his heart warmed faintly and his throat tightened. Yet he felt even more relieved to escape this ill-fated bond and return to the proper path.

Everything went smoothly, until the day the real bride-to-be arrived.

Then who was she?

Tan Zhiyi slowly began to lose his mind...
