The guild chairman, S-rank Esper, and owner of a mythical black dragon spirit form, Jiang Yao was on the brink of bankruptcy. He slowly raised his head.

Eight years ago, Qi Xu was the leading Esper among commoners, while Jiang Yao was the cream of the crop among guild heirs. They rarely crossed paths, but whenever they did, they fought like there was no tomorrow.

Eight years later, life had worn down Qi Xu's sharp edges, while Jiang Yao was shouldering heavy responsibilities and struggling to stay afloat on the brink of bankruptcy.

When they met again, Jiang Yao watched the little black dragon flying around Qi Xu and his son. After a moment's silence, he asked a question that cut straight to the heart of the matter.
