Don't Throw Him Away, This Man Is Still Good for Something [Book Transmigration]

Gu Liping has no real faults. He's just lazy.

Ren Mengdi has no particular talent. She's just hardworking.

The two of them can't get along, so they decide to divorce.

Ren Mengdi doesn't want money or the rundown house the Gu family owns. She just wants to take their daughter, Gu Yuantang, with her.

Gu Liping is willing to give up the money and the house, but he can't bear to part with his precious daughter.

As the couple argue, Gu Yuantang yawns and opens her eyes. She tugs at her mother's sleeve. "Mom, don't throw him away. With a little work, this man can still be salvaged!"

Gu Yuantang is transported into a story set in a bygone era, where she discovers that her new father is the youngest son, spoiled by his parents. He's lazy, greedy, and a pain to deal with. At first, he's a foil to the heroine's family, but later he becomes her greatest ally.

What turns her new father into the heroine's ally is the blow of unexpectedly losing his wife and daughter.

After the tragedy, Gu Liping changes completely. He goes from being a lazy, greedy mama's boy to a business tycoon. He gives the heroine a great deal of help, but never marries or has children again. When he dies, he leaves the business empire he built to his niece, the heroine.

There's still hope for her new father. Since he never remarried after losing his wife and daughter, Gu Yuantang decides to try to save him.
