A short story, a writing exercise, focused on romance.
The person who stole everything from my youth has come back.
She is a brilliant con artist.
She has no shame, and so she is full of charm.
Her soul is hollow, and so she is mysterious and hard to read.
Like water, she seeped into my life once more, suffocating me while giving me oxygen.
"Dusk is when my eyesight is at its worst. Everywhere I look, the streets are full of beautiful women, and the high-rises and roads change into shapes they don't usually have, like something out of a movie... You were standing at the corner of the stairs, carrying a strangely fresh, slightly damp scent. As we brushed past each other, I realized you were crying. That's when it happened."
Theme: Love what I love, hate what I hate.
