With her departure, humanity loses its sentry at the border, loses a precious torch, and loses its priceless treasure: the great heroine Roland.
The Guide-less Shu is arrested and brought back to Saint-Royal City, then sent before the city-state tribunal. In full view of everyone, not a single person dares to step forward and remove the mask from the face of this out-of-control Sentinel, who is accused of murdering her own Guide.
Lamia happens to be passing through. She hears about it and rushes over, kicking the helmet off the top Hunter's head before giving her a thorough lashing.
"A revenant from the old world? A Sentinel no one can control?" The blue-eyed, golden-haired noblewoman lifts Shu's chin with the handle of her whip and smiles seductively. "Starting today, you're my dog."
In the firelight,
the sacred, coldly beautiful Saint sits upright, looking down at her. "Sentinel, submit to me, revere me, hate me."
The Sentinel kneels, her shoulder pinned beneath a shoe, and lowers her eyes. She answers quietly, "I can't."

3. Plot and romance should be about fifty-fifty. Happy ending. If you like characters getting injured in battle, come on in.

It's much easier to understand after the rewrite. Maybe it's because I've seen and played all three of the reference works mentioned lol. I originally thought that the protagonist's strength would make the weirdness less scary, and the setting of the time traveler introduced variables and joy, which was quite interesting. After reading it again, I found that the author changed a lot of things. Including but not limited to most of the world view, as well as some settings of the protagonists. But it feels like the only thing that hasn't changed is the settings of Rania, Shu, and the dog, but the changes have been so super generational that it scares me to death. Especially in the train chapter, I was obviously in the classroom surrounded by people, but I was so scared that I seemed to have been invaded by a different space. It was so worthless 😭.
