[Please add my upcoming novels to your reading lists!! The romance-focused Night Voyage and the plot-focused Saintess Observation Notes are both great. If they're not, I'll wash my hair standing on my head. Please, QAQ!]

Alluring, cold-hearted businesswoman × devoted champion boxer

Power couple | Queen and loyal puppy | Older woman-younger woman dynamic | Equally matched | Four-year age gap

Su Zhixun is a businesswoman.

Shrewd and cunning, carefree and uninhibited. Her reputation has never been good, and she's never once bent her willful nature.

She has a face of captivating beauty and a heart that can charm anyone. She burns with allure when warm, and carries herself with aristocratic poise when cool.

Everyone knows she's a butterfly impossible to catch, flitting through a thousand flowers without letting a single petal cling to her. Yet people are always falling over themselves to pursue her.

Boss Su: Thanks for asking. We can talk money, but don't even think about talking feelings.

One day, Boss Su makes an impulsive purchase and takes over a struggling gym. The junior trainer that comes with the gym seems to have no social skills at all: not a word out of her mouth is something Su wants to hear.

The whole thing is downright uncanny. Maybe it's payback for all the mischief she's caused over the years.

At first, Su Zhixun figures she's simply picked up a poor, pathetic stray dog. After losing a match, the taciturn girl sits uneasily on an emergency room bed, her face covered in injuries and suffering from a concussion. She tells Su, “I don't know how to lose.”

Later, Su realizes there's more to it. This dog is steady, exceptionally capable, loyal to her owner, and imposing in appearance. She's not at all touchy from having been a stray. In fact, she's brimming with confidence, and her emotions are as steady as an old dog’s.

Steady enough to ask her every few days, right to her face, “Boss, can I love you?”

Life is a game, just for fun. Loving her is fine, not loving her is fine too. Su Zhixun lets herself go for once, then tells her: Don't get emotionally attached.

For the first half of Zhou Jin's life, she had only one goal: win.

With nothing but her bare hands, she braved every danger and shed blood, staking her life to reach the world's biggest stage and claim the UFC bantamweight championship belt with her own hands.

Elite athletes all have the heart of a beast. They can weather years of hardship, endure the ravages of injury, and tear through every opponent.

You have to go mad to survive.

Later, she gained a second goal: love Su Zhixun.

In the meeting room, Zhou Jin calmly cuts a series of bloody gashes into her hand.

When she smiles, the split at the corner of her mouth tears wider. When she looks up, the bruising along her brow pulls painfully. She has just finished a match, flown back from Los Angeles overnight, and cornered Su in this locked room.

“I'm not leaving, Su Zhixun.”

“As long as you need me, I'll stay. If you want to go mad, I'll go mad with you. If you want to die, I'll die with you.”

The dog Su picked up was a fierce one from the start.
